Next Gen & Finance
In Switzerland, according to estimates, between 50 and 70 billion Swiss francs in assets are transferred to the next generation every year. While this can be regarded as a stroke of good fortune, it is also, in fact, a great challenge for the transferring generation as well as for the recipient generation. Marcuard Family Office (MFO) strives to support the generation of parents in the planning and implementation of their side of this process. At the same time, we want to help the (adult) children in these families by providing them with the necessary tools and vocabulary to prepare them for their future role as guardians of the family’s wealth. With this in mind, we have launched our Next Gen & Finance program.
Next Gen & Finance
This event is aimed to young people between the ages of 18 and 38 who have grown up in families with more demanding wealth situations. Participants will further their education in topics such as finance & investment, leadership & entrepreneurship, family governance, sustainability and how to approach new horizons. The program is also an opportunity, in a confidential context, to meet with other young people who are in a similar situation.
Event
The Next Gen & Finance event – a three-day seminar
Each day is devoted to a single theme. The transfer of knowledge and experience will take place interactively and we attach great importance to the commitment and involvement of the participants. Speakers will mainly be external experts. The seminars will be enhanced by an attractive supporting program in and around Zurich. Another valuable aspect of the seminar is its networking opportunities among the participants in an informal atmosphere. The event is held in English and takes place in MFO’s headquarters at Bellevue in the heart of Zurich.
Topics and speakers
The selection criteria for the topics are determined by their relevance and timeliness.
The speakers are deeply experienced in their core areas. We also invite speakers who have distinguished themselves through their academic and practice-oriented work and who are able to communicate their knowledge exchange to non-experts. Our goal is that every participant can say after the event that Next Gen & Finance was a valuable source of personal development.
The MFO Next Gen & Finance event will take place every year and will offer returning participants as well as first-timers new opportunities to learn about the many aspects of wealth preservation.
